In 2006 Derek Disney and Hannah Catlett moved back to their home town of Magazine, AR from Monticello, AR, where they were attending The University of Arkansas at Monticello. Derek and Hannah founded what is now known as The Bar HD Ranch. Derek recieved most of the Ranch's land from his grandfather, Don Starling. The beautiful, lush land that is nestled at the foot of Mount Magazine has been in Derek's family since the late 1800s. Once encompassing the whole valley, the Bar HD Ranch now holds a small portion of the valley. It has been a dream of Derek's to own and ranch this land since early childhood. Now his dream has become a reality.
Derek and Hannah, with the new addition of their daughter Rayne, have started this family based operation with many hopes and dreams in mind. One of which is to successfully breed and raise top quality Quarter Horses and registered ABBI bucking stock cattle. The ranch also starts outside horses for the public and offers training for upcoming bucking bulls. The Ranch hopes to accommodate all the needs of its consumers.
